Recently I went to Central Market looking for some stuff, and I’m quite shock with the improvement of Central Market. Really big change here! Thumbs up! For tourist, Central Market also known as “Pasar Seni” is a must-visit spot if you are a first-time visitor to Kuala Lumpur. If you want to buy some souvenirs and exclusively-made handicrafts, this is the right place to go! Actually it is not just about arts and crafts, but more about a central location for a wider cultural offering. Hey, you can also try the ” feet fish spa” here. Only RM5 for 10 minutes. It was definitely worth checking out. If you want to go to Central Market – Kuala Lumpur, I would like to recommend you to use the public transportation because the place are easily accessed by public transportation services including LRT.
What about the toilet? I’m quite impress with the improvement of the toilet here. Totally different than before. The entrance fee is RM0.50! What attract my attention is the unique toilet signs. As you can see in the photo below, the Ladies and Gents toilet sign are totally different. They use the wayang kulit(puppet shadow) for the toilet sign. Quite impressive! From the inside, the floors were dry and the entire place was well maintained. The Balinese concept of wooden doors and unique washbasin really impress me. I hope that the cleaning crew will works around the clock to ensure the toilet are always CLEAN. And I wish that the mentality and attitude problem of some people that can ruin the whole toilet image will change! When using the public toilet, use it as you are using your toilet at home ok! Please change “our” mindset. Stay clean people!! Below are some photos of the 1st floor toilet in Central Market. Quite unique and I would hope they will be slightly better from time to time!
Can you imagine life without a toilet. Do you want to dig like a cat if you want to “poo”? Will you?? I know a lot of people don’t want to talk about toilets. For your info, today is World Toilet Day, a day to celebrate the humble, yet vitally important, toilet and to raise awareness of the global sanitation crisis. Sounds silly, right? World toilet day?? What the…*tut*!!? but I do believe that if we don’t talk about something, we can never improve… Did you know that every 15 seconds, a child dies from a water-related disease? Next time you go to the bathroom, think about this. Please appreciate a clean toilet!
Feel free to spread the words to help raise awareness for the 2.5 billion people who don’t have access to sanitation! WaterAid is working hard to change this, using simple and low cost solutions, and there are many easy and fun ways you can get involved. If everyone works together, we can make a difference!
